Dr. Anastasios Tagaris

Tassos is a seasoned Healthcare IT Executive and eHealth Interoperability Expert with over 20 years of leadership and consulting experience across European digital health ecosystems. He combines strategic vision in healthcare information systems with deep expertise in HL7, DICOM, IHE, and EU eHealth regulatory compliance, helping organisations design and implement standards-based, interoperable digital infrastructures. His long-standing involvement in EU-funded projects, including the European Patient Summary and eHDSI, reinforces his expertise in shaping connected, standards-based healthcare ecosystems.

He currently guides ahtida Health’s EU compliance and interoperability strategy for its telemedicine and digital health platform. His previous roles include eHealth Consultant & Project Manager at OTE (2023–present), managing the nationwide digitisation of public hospitals and primary healthcare centres for OKYPY (SHSO) in Cyprus and CIO at Athens Medical Group (2020–2023), leading the group’s digital transformation and data governance initiatives. Earlier, as CEO and President of IDIKA SA (2015-2019), he directed Greece’s national ePrescription, EHR, and eHealth interoperability programmes, aligning national strategy with EU frameworks.
